What Is Patch Testing
What is patch testing?
Patch testing is one means of determining the presence or absence of dermal inflammation or contact dermatitis. It also testifies whether the inflammation is either irritant contact dermatitis or allergic contact dermatitis. The two differ in the type of substance that causes them to occur. An irritant substance initiates the former while an allergen leads to the latter. This test aids your doctor in determining which allergens or which substances you need to avoid and thereby help you solve this type of trouble.
